I grew up in southern Indiana and it was there that I trained as a classical pianist. Through music, my hands became a vehicle for communication and expression. I was an artist, but never did I imagine using my hands to create anything other than music.
The transition from musical to visual artist began during my undergraduate years at Indiana University's School of Fine Arts. I discovered metal design and fabrication skills; a medium I had never before considered. Suddenly, my hands were producing a different type of art--something wearable. I was grateful for the opportunity to learn such a fascinating skill, and my enthusiasm grew into a passion for metal work.
Working as a jewelry designer and fabricator for over 8 years, my design and craftsmanship skills are constantly evolving. I have encountered a great deal of love and support on my artistic journey. I value and cherish every opportunity to create specially designed pieces. A custom piece of jewelry can be the embodiment of a particular belief or statement, and I am honored to be a part of that expression.
